AFT Vermont Locals in Action!

After months of organizing, BFN and BHU members, hundreds of community supporters, local legislators, and Senator Bernie Sanders came together to fight for the future of BMH’s Birthing Center. BMH has now committed to keeping the Center open, protecting an essential service for families across the region. As the only hospital birthing center in Windham or Windsor County, this is a major victory for our members, families, and the entire community. We’re proud of what we accomplished together and will continue working to ensure the Birthing Center remains strong and accessible for families for years to come.
